Michelle Obama to Guest Star at Nick Kids' Awards
The First Lady will deliver a message about her "Let's Move" exercise campaign

When the stars gather for Nickelodeon’s 23rd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards this Saturday, the First Lady will also be honored for her “Let’s Move” campaign to help cut down on childhood obesity, Nickelodeon announced first thing Thursday.
Obama, with whom Nick has been working to advance the physical-fitness campaign (the network has donated $3 million for school programs related to it), has taped a message for Saturday’s show.
“First Lady Michelle Obama has taken on one of this generation’s most pressing concerns: the health and wellness of our nation’s children,” said Marva Smalls, Executive Vice President, Public Affairs and Chief of Staff, Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group.
“Her willingness to work hard, influence others and her dedication to improving the nation is inspiring, and we are proud to honor her for her commitment to empowering kids and families to address one of the most important issues of today.”
The weekend event , to be hosted by Kevin James, will also bring together Steve Carell, Chris Rock, Jackie Chan, Jonah Hill, Queen Latifah, , David Spade, Lea Michele, Dev Patel, Miranda Cosgrove, Shaun White and performers Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Apolo Anton Ohno – who’s being prepped to set a new world record with the Kids’ Choice Awards Slime Slingshot.
The awards will be telecast live from UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). Until then, kids may cast their votes online in 19 categories, among them: favorite couple, movie actor, singer, athlete and reality show.
