The Golden Globe Awards are comin’ to town!

In his first promo for the show, Jimmy Fallon gets ready to light up the holiday season ahead of his first-ever Globes hosting gig.

“OK, Questlove, this is it — the big reveal! This is what I’m doing January 8th,” Fallon, 42, tells his Tonight Show bandleader. But Christmas lights aren’t exactly the late night emcee’s forte.

What was supposed to spell out “Golden Globes” on the roof, short circuits into the hilarious “Old Globs.”

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and NBC announced in early August that Fallon would be serving as ringleader of the freewheeling awards fete.

At the time, Fallon himself weighed in on his hosting duties with a cheeky tweet that provided a preview of his Golden Globes jokes. “And I’m really looking forward to spending time with the Hollywood Foreign Press before Donald Trump has them all deported,” Fallon wrote.

While Fallon is locked in to attend the awards bash held inside the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, it is still unknown which A-listers are set to be there. Nominations are scheduled to be announced on Dec. 13, and it was previously announced that Meryl Streep will be receiving the honorary 2017 Cecil B. DeMille Award.

The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live on Jan. 8, 2017 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
