It was four years ago that Rihanna and Chris Brown failed to show up at the 2009 Grammy Awards after a notorious battery incident that earned Brown a conviction for felony assault.

The couple’s relationship came full circle, in a way, on Sunday night: Despite arriving separately, the newly reconciled pair sat together to enjoy the 2013 Grammys.

Rihanna, 24, in a red Alia gown, and Brown, 23, in all-white suit, were spotted looking cozy in the audience. TV cameras spotted Brown’s arm around Rihanna, and he was holding her hand.

Of course, it wasn’t a completely drama-free weekend. On Saturday, Brown crashed his Porsche during a paparazzi chase.

The couple parted ways following the assault in 2009. But Rihanna recently revealed to Rolling Stone that they had rekindled their romance.

Just this week, Rihanna attended Brown’s court hearing in Los Angeles – for a possible falsification of a probation report related to the assault – and later stepped out with him after a late night in the studio.
