Dreamy sighs were heard ’round the world when Ed Sheeran and John Mayer took the stage together at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.

The dapper pair, who were joined by Questlove on the drums, performed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” and Mayer could barely contain his eyebrows as he jammed out on his pink guitar.

Mayer’s been a fan of the Brit’s since he caught him in concert last year.

“You could break Ed Sheeran’s talent into about six equal pieces and still have six very talented and successful artists,” Mayer wrote on Twitter in August.

But the love affair reached epic proportions on Friday when the boys revealed that they designed tattoos for each other, which they unveiled on The Late Late Show while Mayer, 37, was guest-hosting.

Sheeran got the words “kool guy” on his right arm, while Mayer now sports a small cat head on his chest. Rad, guys. Just rad.

Sheeran was nominated for album of the year, best pop vocal album and best song written for visual media.
