The singer-songwriter was at the Golden Globes to introduce the montage for his movie — and the night’s big winner — La La Land, but he and his supermodel love also fulfilled what has become their unofficial awards show duty: Keeping us entertained on social media during the show.
First, they redefined red carpet goals by taking a pit stop squat in the middle of the action, and recruiting Blake Lively to snap a pic of the relaxation, as one does.
Can anyone argue with Teigen’s reason for taking a break? No, no they cannot.
Before leaving the carpet, the duo stopped by the E! Glambot, where Legend expertly avoided injury as Teigen whipped her hair back-and-forth, and caressed her neck in a way that will surely one day traumatize a teenage Luna Simone.
The pair then made their way to their assigned table, only to find that spelling “Legend” isn’t as straightforward as one might think. Teigen, of course, was entirely sympathetic to her husband’s misfortune.
The cookbook author also showed her support when it came to Legend’s dancing.
Unlike the rest of us, Legend later got to chill with the woman herself.
After the broadcast, Teigen and Legend headed to the after parties, where they continued to exemplify Hollywood elegance and glamour alongside Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita.
Following all the festivities, Teigen returned home to cuddle with some true Hollywood VIPs.
They might have given out those expensive statuettes to other people last night, but we think it’s pretty clear who the real winners of the evening were. And as awards season continues, we can only hope that Teigen and Legend will keep gifting us with the behind-the-scenes looks and unforgettable GIFs that we truly deserve.
