Although Amy Schumer's sister, Kim Caramele, is her official date, the comedian confirmed new love Ben Hanisch will be at the Globes, too
Not only is the comedian nominated twice – for best actress in a comedy and for best comedy film for her summer hit, Trainwreck – but the outspoken star is also basking in the glow of her new relationship with Chicago-based furniture designer Ben Hanisch.
Although Schumer, 34, has been sharing snuggly images of herself and Hanisch on social media, the star made it clear that her official Globes date is someone who’s been in her life a lot longer: sister Kim Caramele.
The siblings have kept an extremely close bond during Schumer’s rise to success, with Caramele serving as a producer on Inside Amy Schumer, Trainwreck and her hit HBO special. The pair also worked with pal Jennifer Lawrence to pen their forthcoming comedy.
The two also stay close on social media, with Schumer sharing a sweet throwback photo of the pair on Thursday while confirming her as her official Golden Globes date.
“tbt me and my date to the globes #roadmanager my bf will be there too,” she wrote in part to caption the image of the young sisters holding hands and smiling into the camera.
Although Caramele will be her official plus-one to the boozy Ricky Gervais-hosted event – in which she goes head-to-head in the best actress, musical or comedy category with Lawrence – Schumer will likely cozy up to Hanisch as she hits the afterparties.

Plus, Hanisch has already earned Caramele’s seal of approval: “Her sister loves him and that’s important because her and her sis are BFF,” a source told PEOPLE.
“Amy is so, so happy,” the source also said. “She calls him her boyfriend and says he constantly tells her how pretty, sexy and perfect she is.”
In other words, expect Schumer to show off a very golden glow on Sunday.
