"I'm very amazed," The Affair star said

Ruth Wilson won the Golden Globe for best actress in a TV series, drama on Sunday for her work in The Affair.

“I’m very amazed,” Wilson said. She recounted a previous loss at the Golden Globes, “it was very disappointing.”

“And Dom, your ass is something of great beauty – don’t let anyone tell you otherwise,” she joked about her costar Dominic West.

The award was presented by Anna Faris and Chris Pratt at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

Wilson was up against Viola Davis for How to Get Away With Murder, Claire Danes for Homeland, Julianna Margulies for The Good Wife and Robin Wright for House of Cards.

The 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards were hosted for the third time by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
