Laverne Cox, Sam Smith and Transparent are among the nominees for the 26th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, the nation’s LGBT media advocacy organization announced Wednesday.

A total of 144 English- and Spanish-language nominees are being recognized for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the LGBT community and the issues that affect their lives.

Cox, the Orange Is the New Black star who was the first openly transgender actress to be nominated for an Emmy Award, is being recognized for the documentary Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word.

Smith, the “Stay with Me” crooner who recently went public with his new boyfriend on Instagram, was nominated for his critically acclaimed album In the Lonely Hour. (Smith leads this year’s Grammy nominations with six.)

Also nominated was Amazon Instant Video’s hit Transparent – about a man seeking gender-reassignment surgery – which just won the Golden Globe for best TV series, musical or comedy (as did its lead actor Jeffrey Tambor).

Other nominees include ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder; HBO’s Game of Thrones, Looking and The Normal Heart; as well as the Oscar-nominated film The Imitation Game.
