Game of Thrones is in a three-way tie for the most-nominated show in this current awards show season. It’s got seven nominations (tying it with Transparent and Veep) – one at the Golden Globes; three at the Screen Actors Guild Awards; two at the Writers Guild Awards; and one at the Producer’s Guild Awards.
One of the biggest problems with awards show season (as we understand it) is coming up with new ways to say “thank you,” time and again, in acceptance speech after acceptance speech.
