Christina Grimmie was noticeably left out of the Emmys “In Memoriam” segment, which honored late stars ranging from screen and television to sports and music.

Following her absence from the emotional tribute, fans swiftly took to social media to express their disappointment.

“You forgot the young and very talented Christina Grimmie on your “In memoriam” so sad,” wrote one Twitter user.

“Sad and disappointed to see that the #Emmys left Christina Grimmie off of their memoriam special,” wrote another.

One user pointed out that The Voice, the singing competition show that launched Grimmie into fame, even won an Emmy earlier in the night.

The memoriam honored a handful of legendary stars who passed away this year including Gene Wilder, Patty Duke, Garry Marshall, Muhammad Ali, Garry Shandling, Doris Roberts and more.

Grimmie died after being shot at her Orlando, Florida, concert in June.

“It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. She was shot at her show in Orlando, and unfortunately didn’t survive the gun shot wounds,” her rep told PEOPLE at the time. “We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning.”
