Mel Brooks and Julia Louis-Dreyfus May Be Our Favorite Emmys Selfie Pair
The two have been snapping pictures with each other all day
Yes, she’s a little shy of Mel Brooks (also on hand Sunday night, to present) in the awards category – don’t worry, the club of “People Who Have Fewer Awards Than Mel Brooks” is a big one – but that doesn’t mean the two aren’t friendly.
Louis-Dreyfus snagged a pic with the EGOT card holder, adding a jaunty cartoon crown in the picture and captioning the snap of the pair, “He is the King.”
And Brooks, because, well, he’s the king, answered Louis-Dreyfus on Twitter, writing, “You are too sweet – also I’d misplaced that crown years ago, so nice of you to return it.”
But the pair weren’t through capturing the hearts and minds of the Emmys crowd. When Louis-Dreyfus got on-stage to collect Veep‘s final award of the evening (outstanding comedy series) from Brooks, she made sure to get another selfie with the comedy legend.
