Who says you have to be a country singer to emcee the CMT awards?

Kristen Bell will be joining nominee Toby Keith for hosting duties at the 11th annual awards on June 6, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

“It’s an honor to get that call,” says seven-time CMT winner Keith, 50, about being asked back to host to show. He and Pamela Anderson co-hosted in 2003.

Bell, who will be escorted to Nashville by fiancé Dax Shepherd (sans sloth), is already eager to make her first trip to Music City.

“Country music makes me happy,” the actress, 31, tells PEOPLE. And she’s most excited about meeting her co-host – and the possibility of coming face to face with her country crush, Miranda Lambert.

Bell and Keith are only part of star power being packed into the show: Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum and many others plan to perform their hits.

Fans can vote for their favorite music videos at the CMT 2012 Music Awards website through June 4.
