Miley's dad steps out for first first major public appearance since filing for divorce
Billy Ray Cyrus made his first major public appearance after filing for divorce at Wednesday’s CMA Awards in Nashville.
The country singer, and dad to Miley Cyrus, didn’t chat with reporters before the ceremony, instead remaining inside Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
On Oct. 28, Cyrus, 49, filed for divorce from Tish, his wife of 17 years. According to the divorce filing, he seeks to “share the care, custody and control” of the three minor children he has with wife Tish: Miley, who turns 18 in November; Braison, 16; and Noah, 10. (The pair have three older children from previous relationships).
