Blake Shelton is a pro at handling big crowds, but what he’ll face in 2016 will be new territory for the country singer.

The Voice star is set to host Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards!

“I’ve been on countless stages throughout my life, but none have promised the madness, excitement and endless slime as Nick’s Kids’ Choice Awards, which is undoubtedly the ultimate party for kids,” Shelton said in a statement exclusive to PEOPLE. “There is only one team here, and it’s Team Kids’ Choice so bring it on Nickelodeon!”

Based on the above photo of a grinning Shelton covered in the show’s signature green slime, he’s clearly ready for the goo and glee headed his way.

The awards show, which airs live on March 12, will be available across the world on more than 180 channels.

On the night’s agenda: appearances by movie, music and TV stars, surprises, and plenty of slime.
