Their last gig went so well, they’re returning for an encore.

Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, who jokingly took some pot shots at one another as cohosts of the Academy of Country Music Awards this past April, will return as cohosts for the 2014 show.

“Congratulations, buddy, you won entertainer of the year in your first – and last – year of cohosting the ACM Awards,” Shelton told Bryan after the latter’s big win at the 2013 show.

But Shelton’s tongue-in-cheek prediction won’t come true, as Bryan, 37, will return for his second hosting gig. It will be the fourth straight time hosting for Shelton, also 37.

Bryan got some digs in at Shelton at April’s show, too. Before welcoming Shelton to the stage, Bryan remarked: “Recently, Miranda Lambert found a puppy on the side of the road, all shivering and wet with no food and no place to sleep which is pretty much how she found Blake.”

The 49th annual ACM Awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 6.
