Joe Jonas definitely had chemistry with his latest costar.

Opening up on the Billboard Music Awards magenta carpet about filming the music video for his band DNCE‘s new single “Toothbrush” with Sports Illustrated cover girl Ashley Graham, Jonas said, “We just got to make out and roll around on each other all day.

“It was a man’s dream come true,” he told E! News during the Las Vegas pre-show.

“Toothbrush” chronicles a relationship at its turning point and is the second single from the “Cake by the Ocean” artists. The band also includes bassist-keyboardist Cole Whittle, guitarist JinJoo and drummer Jack Lawless, who all color-coordinated for the big show.

Jonas also revealed that Graham helped keep things light while filming the sexy scenes.

“She was cracking jokes right away and she kind of broke the ice,” Jonas said. “Those things are always kind of uncomfortable because you have a full camera crew with you as you’re laying in bed and trying to be intimate with somebody. It’s obviously awkward right away but she was really fun with it and we kept each other laughing so the first 10 minutes we were comfortable.”

And those make out scenes? “Really hot and long.”

“I think they said cut a few times and we were like, ‘Whatever,'” Jonas said.

DNCE is set to perform at the Billboard Music Awards, which start at 8 p.m. EST.
