The duo made their debut performance of the song on The Voice Monday night, showing off their undeniable chemistry on stage. “We both had trust issues. We were getting over it, but we wrote this song about it, and it’s perfect,” Shelton told PEOPLE exclusively before the performance. This year’s Billboard Music Awards will be hosted by Ludacris and Ciara, and previously announced performers include Justin Bieber, DNCE, Demi Lovato, Celine Dion (who is also receiving the Icon Award), Britney Spears and Ariana Grande. The 2016 Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 22 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
