Taylor Swift wasn’t the only former teen icon to grace the audience with her presence at Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards.

Beloved Brat Pack princess Molly Ringwald, now 47, took to the stage to introduce the seminal ’80s band Simple Minds. The actress – once known for her red hair, but currently sporting a blond pixie cut – and the retro rockers were there to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Breakfast Club.

“Thirty years ago I was part of the club that made history,” Ringwald told the crowd. “But now can I be a part of Taylor Swift’s?”

She went on to note that “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” the movie’s theme song, went Number One this week back in 1985. “It’s still unforgettable,” said Ringwald.

Watch the anthemic performance below – and keep an eye on the crowd to see the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran and Danica McKellar, plus Swift with her arm around “new club member” Ms. Ringwald, singing along.
