She plays First Lady on Scandal, and now Bellamy Young is getting to collaborate with a real-life member of a former First Family.

At the Entertainment Weekly celebration honoring the Screen Actors Guild nominees at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on Friday, Young revealed to PEOPLE that she’ll be working very closely with Chelsea Clinton in 2016.

“I get to be co-ambassador, with Chelsea Clinton, of the Trust for the National Mall this year,” she said. “So gearing up to do some stuff in D.C. with them. I’m very excited about that.”

Although Young said she still has yet to meet Clinton, she’s already planning on becoming a sort of confidante for the famous former First Daughter.

“I’m such a crab in that way. I sideways into people. I don’t ever ask them anything direct,” Young shared. “I live for anyone else around me to be comfortable. She can tell me whatever she wants. She’ll know she can trust me, but I would never ask anything direct.”

But Young isn’t just a fan of Chelsea – she told PEOPLE she “really was” a big fan of Bill Clinton‘s presidency.

“And the whole family, through the Clinton Foundation. Everything they’ve contributed to our country, to the world. I am a bit agog,” she said.
