Amy Schumer isn’t interested in any faux sympathy from her faux dad.
The comedian, 34, shared a funny text exchange with Colin Quinn – who played her onscreen father in her hit comedy Trainwreck – on Tuesday, after losing out on the Golden Globe for best actress in a motion picture, musical or comedy, to pal Jennifer Lawrence Sunday night.
“Even tho u didnt win take comfort in the fact that u have friends like me in your life. Forever.”
Schumer’s blunt response? “Please leave me alone”
Still, Schumer seems to have rebounded just fine: On Tuesday, she posted a sunny Instagram snap showing her hanging with pal Ronda Rousey, simply captioning the image “Ladies.” (Schumer, of course, famously cracked on Twitter about her resemblance to Holly Holm, who beat Rousey at UFC 193.)
Despite the Globes loss, the Inside Amy Schumer star still managed to have a pretty terrific night Sunday, walking the carpet with sister and BFF Kim Caramele, and sharing the moment with new beau Ben Hanisch.
“My clique” she captioned a shot of herself with a group that included Hanisch, Caramele and brother Jason Stein.
Schumer also told PEOPLE on the red carpet that she and Hanisch couldn’t be happier.
“We’re in love and it’s really exciting,” she said.
Just prior to the Globes, Schumer shared another funny text exchange on Instagram, this one with bestie and fellow comedian Rachel Feinstein.
“Want to hang at cellar later? I’ll be there at 8:15,” Feinstein texted, referring to New York City’s Comedy Cellar.
Schumer’s response is deadpan: “I have plans tonight. #myfriendssupporme”
(For the record, Feinstein claims innocence, and says fellow comic Keith Robinson stole her phone for the prank.)
