Winners at the Academy of Country Music Awards showed off their trophies in the PEOPLE photo studio, and they all agree – winning an award feels good.

“Every time you’re nominated, every time you hear your name called for anything, it’s butterflies,” Miranda Lambert tells PEOPLE of her wins for female vocalist of the year, single record of the year and vocal event of the year with Keith Urban.

“It will never get old, it will never be taken for granted. I’m humbled and excited, and I have the best job in the world,” Lambert, 30, says. “I got to take a picture tonight with George Straight, Garth Brooks and Merle Haggard. It doesn’t get any better than that.”

Justin Moore, who won for new artist of the year, agrees.

“The best part about winning is the fact that it validates every bit of work that everybody has done on my behalf over the past six, seven, eight, ten years,” says Moore, 30. “My mom and dad both got second jobs so that I could pursue this, and my wife and my daughters stay at home and miss me because of this job.”
