Though the somber string quartet and romantic hanging votive candles at Dick Clark’s oceanfront Malibu estate attested to the fact that marriage is serious business, Adam Sandler could not suppress his goofy streak on June 22 when he tied the knot with his girlfriend of five years, actress-model Jackie Titone, 28. During the Jewish ceremony, Sandler, 36, wore a tux and yarmulke—as did his bulldog Meatball, who preceded Titone down the aisle, bearing her wedding band on his back. “The ring was huge!” says guest Dylan Sprouse, 10, Sandler’s Big Daddy costar. “I could have gone blind if I stared at it any longer.” Later the Wedding Singer star kept his 400 guests—among them Jennifer Aniston, Brendan Fraser, Dustin Hoffman, Rodney Dangerfield, Sharon Osbourne and Rob Schneider—in stitches with, yes, a song. “He sang her weight and how ‘she’d rather not be with me except in a shopping mall,’ ” says Sprouse. “She was laughing and crying.” All in all, says Dangerfield, “it was a real classy affair! Only two fights broke out, and I made $12 parking cars!”
