Behind the Seams

GENEROUS BY DESIGN: Count on rock star descendant Stella McCartney to come up with a cute version of the concert tee: The designer created a limited-edition airbrushed tank exclusively for the Glastonbury music festival last month, and now it’s available to the masses. “To me this tank top signifies letting go of your everyday worries,” says McCartney of the cheerful ’70s-inspired shirt. All proceeds from the top will go to Oxfam, a global campaign dedicated to ending poverty. Fashionistas Kate Hudson and Kate Moss have it….

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY: Now Nick Lachey isn’t the only one who will benefit from Vanessa Minnillo‘s eyelash-batting prowess: The former TRL cohost is the latest guest creator for Flirt! cosmetics; her limited-edition eye-shadow palettes hit stores Aug. 1. “Nothing is too extreme or too over-the-top,” says Minnillo of the shades. “You can use them in the daytime or out at night—it’s just a matter of layering and shading.”…

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD: No “Mrs. Pitt”-style T-shirts for them! Eva Longoria, newly wed to Tony Parker, recently had her stylist order Kooba’s gold-mirrored Parker tote, while Rebecca Gayheart—wife of Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy’s Dr. Mark Sloan)—has been photographed carrying the label’s Sloane belted bag numerous times. “I take it absolutely everywhere,” says Gayheart. “It reminds me of my husband.” So McSweet!

Wilmer Valderrama—who knows how to dress for the ladies—just launched his men’s clothing line Calavena.

Why did you decide to design clothes?

My dad and I used to wear matching suits back in the day. I started designing my own stuff [two years ago] and thought it would be incredible to have a platform for my opinions on fashion.

Can the regular guy pull off that deep V-neck?

The pieces are meant to be layered. You could wear that with a tank top or a T-shirt underneath.

What are your own clothing concerns?

I wanted a T-shirt that flatters the upper body and camouflages what we’ve got on the bottom, ’cause sometimes we let ourselves go a little bit. I’ve had my days, believe me!

What male stars use to keep themselves smelling pretty

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE picked up three bottles of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Fleur Du Male eau de toilette spray, $54 for 2.6 oz.;

While on a tour stop in Scottsdale, Ariz., KEITH URBAN had his assistant pick up six bottles of Lush’s Happy Hippy Shower gel, $15.95;

Bright red lipstick isn’t just for cold-weather months anymore: This summer, stars are working the hot color with as much gusto as they’ve previously brought to ignoring the no-white-after-Labor-Day rule. “I love a red lip,” says Heroes star Ali Larter, who often puckers up in the shade. But she does have a tip for pulling off the bold look. “You’ve got to be very careful—if it’s too precise, it doesn’t work in the hot weather. It’s got to be a little sweaty-sexy.”
