POSH’S NEW DENIM LINE
Can Victoria Beckham’s jeans get any tighter? Probably not—and she wouldn’t want it any other way. In an exclusive interview, Beckham dishes on her latest fashion venture, dVb denim, which hits stores June 15.
How do your jeans flatter different women’s bodies?
It’s important that jeans don’t bag around the knee and cut in around the stomach. I wanted to design a jean that wasn’t too tight around the waist and elongates your legs. The skinny leg styles are available with an elastic that goes under the foot which keeps the leg nice and tight so there’s no extra gathering at the knee.
Did you create a style for David to wear?
Not yet, so far the denim is only for women, but he keeps on asking!
Do you wear jeans more often now that you’re living in L.A.?
I love to wear denim. Moving to L.A. won’t change at all the way I dress.
How do you dress up your jeans?
Sometimes a great vintage blazer and waistcoat, sometimes a little sweater or just a T-shirt. But always with a high heel and a pair of sunglasses!

June 3. “This year has wonderful new meaning to my sister and me because we’ve been more and more involved in fashion,” says Ashley, who, along with her sibling, will be launching Elizabeth and James—the lower-priced alternative to their high-end clothing line the Row this fall. Which doesn’t leave the sisters with much free time. Says Ashley: “I haven’t gotten my nails done for about six months!”
AT THEIR FINGERTIPS
The hottest celeb nail looks of the moment aren’t for the faint of heart: “They’re stronger statements than the usual pale pinks,” says manicurist Deborah Lippmann. Even the simplest-seeming option requires some effort: “To wear the ‘bare’ nail well, the cuticle must be perfectly groomed.”
