Getting the Boot

So what if temperatures are still balmy? Stars are already donning one of this fall’s hottest items, ankle boots. And look, Ma, no tights!

KATE MOSS leaving a restaurant in London.

PAMELA ANDERSON out shopping in Malibu.

KIMBERLY STEWART in Marc Jacobs boots in Malibu.

ASHLEE SIMPSON out for a stroll in Manhattan.

No need to take her fashion Pulse: Kristen Bell looked stunning in a floaty J. Mendel dress and Chanel clutch at the film’s L.A. premiere.

Behind the Seams

SHE’S TAKEN: Stars are acting like a bunch of seventh graders … but this time it’s actually kind of cute: Christina Aguilera and Nicky Hilton have picked up White Trash Charms’ Taken necklace to signify their loyalty to their beloveds. (Gavin Rossdale even purchased one for wife Gwen Stefani.) Next hot item: Kevin Connolly’s varsity jacket….

TATS INCREDIBLE: So you can’t have her movie star boyfriend and gaggle of adorable children … but her tattoos? Done. Public Library just launched a line of tees emblazoned with Angelina Jolie‘s body art (in the correct places), so you too can wear the coordinates of Cambodia. Tommy Lee and Tupac’s tats are similarly commemorated….

MADDEN ABOUT YOU: She may have scads of couture, but Mariah Carey can still kick it with the masses … at least when it comes to footwear. Steve Madden has custom-designed shoes for Carey’s current “Adventures of Mimi” tour. (The retail versions will be in stores Nov. 1.) Says the tour’s costumer June Ambrose: “They crafted us a seven-inch pump that felt like a sneaker.” …

ONE LOVE: Bono and wife Ali Hewson’s EDUN clothing line has partnered with the ONE campaign to create a charity T-shirt to help fight AIDS and poverty. “[The tees] create work for our Lesotho factory and [are] giving much-needed funding to the [effort],” says Hewson. Naomi Watts and Kate Bosworth are among the stars who posed for the campaign’s ads.

ONE T-shirt by EDUN, $40; and ($10 from each sale will go to the Apparel Lesotho Alliance to Fight AIDS fund.)

CLAIM TO FAME: Founder of Fusion Beauty Inc.

WHY SHE’S HOT: Her bestselling lip and skin enhancement products

When even the lush-lipped Jessica Alba says, “I’ve always got LipFusion in my purse,” you know it’s a cosmetic keeper. Its creator, Randi Shinder, 39, had already found success partnering with Jessica Simpson to create the Dessert Beauty collection in 2004. But when the former marketing executive came across technology that purported to plump lips with topically applied collagen, she had to share it. “[LipFusion is] an alternative to plastic surgery,” says Shinder. The newest addition to her line, GlowFusion, is relatively low-tech: “It’s like ordinary self-tanner but has nutrients that eliminate odor and streaking,” claims Shinder. Because Hollywood types hate it when that happens.
