Scents of a Woman

J.Lo gives us the lowdown on her sixth fragrance, Live Luxe, which launches this month.

What is your idea of living luxe?

[It] is all about indulgence—making yourself and others around you feel good.

Do you have a favorite luxe beauty treatment?

Spa treatments like facials and massages, though they’re not something I get to do all the time. Sleep is the ultimate luxury beauty item for me. I try to get eight hours a night.

Which scents represent the luxe life?

The fragrance is a multifaceted fruity floral. For me, it is exotic and luscious—everything luxury is all about. When you put it on, you feel sensual and confident. I wanted women to get lost in the moment.

Party of the Week

Bargain-loving fashionistas crowded into a private shopping event in L.A. July 27 to celebrate the chic French label’s temporary collection for the chain. “I’ve become addicted to the designers who do Target,” says attendee Kristen Bell.

“So cute!” says Bell of the ballerina sweater (left), $29.99. Leather ruffle jacket in ivory, $139.99; all items available at Target stores and

KRISTEN BELL (with plaid owl shoulder bag, $34.99).

Trend of the Week

Snip, snip. Celebrity hairstylists seem suddenly scissor-happy. The hottest cut right now is a soft, side-parted bob—with just enough volume and movement to make it sexy. The look is “chic and fun,” says New York City hair guru Luca Blandi of the sideswept coif. “It also gets the hair off your neck, so it’s perfect for this long, hot summer.”
