Winging It

Hollywood seems to be feeling mighty flighty—at least when it comes to accessories. Ethereal dragonflies and butterflies glittering with gems are landing on hairdos (Lucy Liu, Jules Asner), in jewelry (Lalaine) and on polished skin (Paula Jai Parker). “They’re a symbol for the soul and transformation,” says Fleur designer Laeia Angelica. “They’re magical and, quite simply, they make people happy.” Celebs getting mood-lifts include Bai Ling, who favors Fleur’s handmade silk specimens adorned with crystals and backed with adhesive (the better to perch on bare skin). “I feel like they represent the life in me,” says Ling. Adds Parker: “They make me feel uninhibited and sexy.” Whatever the take-away, one thing’s for sure: This is a trend with wings.

An elegant Jamie-Lynn Sigler hit the Sex and the City premiere just weeks before her nuptials. In a dishy crepe and satin Luca Luca dress, peep-toe shoes and a sleek do, she looked as chic as Carrie and Co. (So who’ll catch the bouquet?)

TERMINATOR TIME: Thanks to a $19,900 Audemars Piguet watch created just for him, the Terminator will look up-to-the-minute when Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines opens on July 2. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who helped design the piece, admits that the robot doesn’t really need a macho watch-o, since “he has a portable database that gives him everything he needs without looking at his wrist.” Like most screen legends, though, Ab-nold is style conscious. Soo…you’ll see him casually sporting the pricey Piguet—in his words, “a rugged, kick-ass military kind of watch”—in the flick. (Call it his boy toy.)…

THE LATEST BLING: Next up from the inexhaustable J.Lo: her own line of baubles. Dubbed J.Lo by Jennifer Lopez, the line ($12 and up) includes saucy earrings, bracelets and necklaces in gold or silver plate. What, no 6-carat pink cubic zirconia engagement rock?…

LITTLE DIVAS: Teens longing to bring sassy urban glam to the school cafeteria have a mentor in rap queen Eve: The singer’s Fetish Clothing collection, debuting in September and priced from $28 to $350, features denim catsuits, a mesh dress and even a star-worthy satin parka trimmed in faux fur. Next year Eve will introduce her signature fragrance, eyewear and cashmere tracksuits—bound to be a hit in schools where those mesh minidresses are banned.

Blue Note

Style-setters are singing the blues this summer: Sarah Jessica Parker (in turquoise), Alicia Keys (in Peruvian chalcedony) and Catherine Zeta-Jones (in Peruvian opal) riff on the theme of bold proportions and striking flat stones. Jazzy!

Oil Well

Sold only in spas and boutiques, In Fiore’s hand-blended body balms have earned a cult following: Brimming with organic oils that coddle body and soul, the fragrant concoctions “make the daily wellness routine more decadent,” explains In Fiore’s Julie Elliott.

Pleat Wave

School may be out, but part of the uniform—the classic pleated skirt—is still hard at work: Celebs like Jewel and Jennifer Garner are taking it to detention-worthy, micromini heights. Adding boots equals instant chic, while stilettos make it too-cool-for-school sexy….
