Right now Hollywood’s trendiest are exploring the silk route—snapping up embroidered apparel that could have been inspired by Flower Drum Song. The sexy florals cropped up in spring collections and blossomed on the red carpet soon after. Gucci updated the Japanese kimono (Liv Tyler), while Roberto Cavalli created a spicy chinois minidress (Thalia). “These pieces make their statement with color and texture,” says Cavalli. “They require confidence to wear.” Especially when it’s a direct translation like Lisa Bonet’s vintage sheath or Robinne Lee’s cheongsam: “It’s from Chinatown in L.A. and cost $22,” says Lee. Treasures from the East, indeed.

Grammy winner Gwen Stefani was spot-on in a drapey Vivienne Westwood dress and a feathered Dior wrap—a “Hella Good” show from a style diva with perfect timing.
KEEP IT CLEAN: And now fragrance for the less-is-more crowd. Natural women like Courteney Cox Arquette Arquette, Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz and Jamie-Lynn Sigler are going for Clean ($76), a pair of scents based on orange, sweet lime and pink grapefruit that hits select stores this month. Makes us think of cocktails, but Sigler says it’s perfectly innocent: “I smell like I just showered with my favorite soap.” (Call it Meadow-fresh.)…
SEA AND BE SEEN: How did Sex and the City’s Kim Cattrall get that luminous look on Grammy night? Nick Barose did the trick with products from La Mer. First, he slathered her with La Mer body lotion ($135), topped with a little M.A.C iridescent powder. Then came a spritz of La Mer, the Mist ($50), a hydrating potion that gave her skin a healthy sheen. With that chain-mail mini from Michael Kors, Cattrall was ready to glow….
GOODY GIRL: Not only did she nab a Grammy for Cry, but Faith Hill was the big winner when it came to gift bags too. Besides the lavish assortment of goodies ($20,000 worth) that other nominees took home, the mother of three collected some charming extras. Daisy Rock sent miniguitars ($325) for her daughters Gracie, Maggie and Audrey, while Underglam dispatched custom-made panties ($28) with Hill’s and her kids’ names in crystals. Whirly Girl delivered a silver charm bracelet engraved with her girls’ names ($450), and Invicta threw in a $3,000 diamond watch. (Nothing for Tim McGraw, but he’s the guy who has it all.)
Crossing gender lines and time zones, Valentino’s $400 Swarovski shades pop up on celebs in New York, L.A. and London. How semiprecious!
Circles of Love
They’ve got plenty of cash, and now Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow are investing in Love Coins—gold pendants inspired by an ancient Roman symbol for amore. (And who can get enough of that?)

Prince William and the Princess of Pop may move in different circles, but their taste in body treats is in sync. Both are fans of Korres, a cult-hit line from Greece that has just arrived stateside. The outdoorsy William hits London’s Harvey Nichols to stock up on Basil Lemon shower gel. And Britney Spears recently bought Vanilla Cinnamon shower gel and body milk from New York City’s Henri Bendel. Looks like when it comes to lathering up, it’s all Greek to them.

I really LOVE my…
red leather Dolce & Gabbana boots. Cameron Diaz has trotted these out from East Coast to West—pairing them with jeans, a sleek black skirt and top and finally, a flared and belted coat. This is footwear that says, “Don’t mess with me,” vampy enough for a screen queen but sharp enough for a Gangster girl.
