The 44-year-old action hero favors sparkly jackets and aggressive accessories that make the judges feel Under Siege. “Seagal’s trying to be extravagant and flashy, but it doesn’t work with his body type, his age or his haircut,” says Clueless costumer Mona May. Concurs author Ilene Beckerman: “He looks like leftover Liberace.” The tough guy’s choices, Inside Edition’s Deborah Norville believes, reflect the persona Seagal projects in the movies: “strong, bigger than life, unpredictable. I think his wardrobe is saying, ‘I am my own person, and it doesn’t really matter to me if you like it or dislike it.’ ” Let’s hope so. While calling some of Seagal’s choices “bizarre,” Jonathan Katz worries, “He’s gonna hurt me.”
