A fired-up Goldie Hawn carried the official torch for the 2002 Winter Olympics by running 1/5 of a mile through Los Angeles as part of a more than 13,500-mile nationwide relay that began in Atlanta in December. The flame will wend its way to Salt Lake City in time for opening ceremonies on Feb. 8.

Ford escort: Three nights before picking up the Cecil B. De Mille lifetime achievement trophy at the Golden Globe Awards, Harrison Ford turned up in L.A. with car and Driver—Minnie Driver—to dine at an Italian restaurant. Despite reports that the couple are steering toward romance (each ended a long-term relationship last year—Ford is separated from wife Melissa Mathison; Driver, 32, split with fiancé Josh Brolin), a rep for the 59-year-old action hero says the pair “are not a couple. They’re friends.”

With an assist from son Michael, 4, Kelly Ripa ensured 7-month-old daughter Lola remained a babe-in-arms during an outing in Manhattan. The Live with Regis and Kelly cohost took her kids to the taping of the 100th episode of Bear in the Big Blue House, a Disney Channel children’s show. Dad Mark Consuelos, Ripa’s husband of five years, costars with her on All My Children.

A few good moves: Oscar-winner Cuba Gooding Jr., who broke into show business as a break dancer, watched son Spencer, 7, put a little backspin on Dad’s new star along Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Gooding’s latest adventure, Snow Dogs, mushed into theaters with a $23 million opening weekend.

At an L.A. bash hosted by the recently muted Talk magazine, Ally McBeal’s Portia De Rossi had a heart-to-heart encounter with costar Jon Bon Jovi, who joined the series Jan. 14.

Blubber soul: Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. chilled with Nanuq, a 2,200-lb. beluga whale, during a visit to San Diego’s Sea World. The engaged couple costar in Scooby-Doo, a live-action comedy, due in June.

Dog tagged: At the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, Sex and the City’s Kyle Mac-Lachlan took a break from promoting his new romantic comedy Miranda—costarring Christina Ricci—to play footsie with a local ruffian named Popcorn.
