She didn’t have yellow feathers in her hair or a dress cut down to there, but that didn’t stop would-be chanteuse Gwyneth Paltrow from swinging by the Copacabana in New York City, where she sang “I Will Survive” as part of The Big Show, a variety-show benefit that raised $350,000 for the Blue Light Theater Company.

Mama’s boys: At the Manhattan premiere of her latest film, Bossa Nova, Amy Irving showed off her two sons: Max, 14 (left), whose father is Irving’s ex-husband, Steven Spielberg, and Gabriel, 9, whose dad is Irving’s husband, Bruno Barreto, who directed her in Bossa Nova. “Both boys have very talented directors for fathers,” Irving says, “and have big shoes to step into someday.” Of course, she adds, “No pressure, kids!”
