Lap of luxury: Doing their best to conserve space, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, who celebrated a year of marriage in May, kept things cozy during a night out in London.

Three-month-old Presley Walker Gerber enjoyed the view as he and his mom, Cindy Crawford, participated in Take-A-Hike, a run/walk event in L.A. The tyke, along with fellow attendees Brooke Shields, Téa Leoni and Daryl Hannah, helped raise more than $100,000 for breast-cancer research.

Tee minus one…liftoff! Catherine Zeta-Jones took to the skies during a particularly satisfying round of golf in St. Andrews, Scotland. The actress was accompanying beau Michael Douglas, who competed in a pro-am tournament there with ex-hoopster Michael Jordan.

Break out the fava beans and Chianti! Anthony Hopkins feted his Silence of the Lambs costar Jodie Foster, who got the American Cinematheque Award in L.A. “I feel so honored…for where my life has taken me,” she said.

All you need is balance: After attending daughter Stella’s latest fashion show in Paris, Paul McCartney climbed onto some pipe thingamajig, stood on one leg and whistled. And, defying logic, looked good doing it.

Like father, like daughter: As Muhammad Ali looked on (below), his youngest daughter, Laila, 21, did Dad proud in her professional boxing debut (left), taking only 31 seconds to best her opponent, Michigan City, Ind., waitress April Fowler, in Verona, N.Y. “I feel good,” Laila said after the fight, “and I’m ready for more.”

Artists aplenty banded together for NetAid, a trio of concerts to raise awareness about global poverty. From left, R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe, Sheryl Crow, U2’s Bono and Meryl Streep took to the stage for the East Rutherford, N.J., concert, which was also Webcast. “I get excited to see everybody at these things,” Crow says, “because on tour I rarely get to see anyone.”

Having a “Stop! In the Name of Love” flashback? Overcome by memories of romantic scenes with Fight Club costar Brad Pitt? Whatever, Helena Bonham Carter seemed to be having a good time at the film’s L.A. premiere.

Matthew Perry (with pal Rene Ashton) checked out the celluloid competition at the Fight Club screening. His new film—Three to Tango, with Neve Campbell—opens Oct. 22.

Also at the premiere, Bridget Fonda had Chris Isaak wrapped around her finger. The duo are “just friends,” say their reps; Fonda is still dating that other crooner, Dwight Yoakam.
