True Drew? Sporting a summer makeover that may have been inspired by his colorful TV costar Mimi, Drew Carey blonded with actress Kate Walsh, his former girlfriend on The Drew Carey Show, at the Manhattan premiere of Godzilla. Now that he’s on hiatus from his hit ABC sitcom, the comedian decided to ditch the horn-rims and try on a moustache and goatee for size.

Sleepless in Seattle sweethearts Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan generated wave reviews for their upcoming romantic comedy You’ve Got Mail, which the dynamic duo are currently filming in New York City.

Marathon ma’am: Queen Elizabeth II put the wind in Windsor when she broke into a jolly good jog, leaving three subjects in her dust at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. So what sparked the spurt in the Queen’s sprint? The 72-year-old monarch was dashing to catch her husband, Prince Philip, in the carriage-driving competition. But, alas, he was disqualified.

Jack Nicholson linked up with some of L.A.’s finest for the Los Angeles Police-Celebrity Golf Tournament, which raised $250,000 for the LAPD Memorial Foundation. Nicholson has had plenty of time to work on his game since scoring his third Oscar for As Good as It Gets. “I haven’t even read anything,” he told Variety. “After all, I peppered the world with five pictures in two years.”

It’s been 21 years since he made his moves in Saturday Night Fever, but John Travolta proved that the jig isn’t up when he boogied with his Primary Colors first lady, Emma Thompson, at the Cannes Film Festival. Fluent in French, Thompson felt right at home at their political comedy’s screening. “French always comes in tremendously handy when one is in France,” she said. The best Travolta could muster? “Heureux et honoré d’être ici”—pleased and honored to be here.

Former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman seemed to find plenty of satisfaction on the road outside the Chelsea Farmers Market in London with daughter Katie, 3. Wyman, who left the Stones in 1993, also has two other daughters, Jessica, 2, and Matilda Mae, born last month, with his designer wife, Suzanne.

Apparently unspoiled by frames and fortune, the still-rocking Mick Jagger played mother’s little helper with wife Jerry Hall and their 5-month-old son Gabriel at London’s Heathrow Airport. Mama and Papa—minus older kids Elizabeth, 14, James, 12, and Georgia, 6—were en route to Cannes.
