Alexander was there to see Bebe Neuwirth’s stand-in Nancy Hess (far right), his costar in Jerome Robbins’ Broadway In 1989. Says Hess: “I said, ‘So have you shot the last episode?’ and he said, ‘Yes, I’m unemployed!’ ”
