New Year’s weekend deposited a foot of fresh flakes on Aspen and with it a dusting of celebs who hit the slopes, many with family in tow. Letter-perfect Vanna White played the base card with her son Nicholas, 18 months (right). On Dec. 31, she and her husband, restaurateur George Santopietro, renewed vows at the Aspen chapel where they were wed 5 years ago. Meanwhile, Lois & Clark’s Dean Cain (below) showed his mom, Sharon, an actress, that he’s a mere mortal at handling his equipment.

Also in Aspen, powder-buff Kate Moss (above) leaned a little to the north pole, while Naomi Campbell (right) and her brother Pierre, 10, navigated the parking lot. Both models descended on Aspen’s holiday parties: Moss and her beau Johnny Depp glided through the Caribou Club; Naomi turned up at the Hotel Jerome’s bash, which also drew Jennifer Aniston and Steven Spielberg.

Cindy Crawford skied in style at Winter Park, Colo., after taking her first lesson from instructor Hal O’Leary, the director of Winter Park’s National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD). He taught Crawford to ski in return for her work on an NSCD fundraiser in 1994.

While their mom basked in the Caribbean, little princes William (right) and Harry schussed the slopes of Klosters, Switzerland, with pops, Prince Charles. Buckingham Palace, meanwhile, kept busy slaloming around reports that Princess Diana might agree to a divorce.

“I’m very happy to be the first tourist in the new Sarajevo,” said U2’s Bono, who spent New Year’s Eve visiting a war-ravaged Sarajevo library (below), chatting with U.S. troops and checking out the fervid club scene.

Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee and his missus, Pamela Anderson Lee, arrived at Heathrow Airport to spend the holidays in London. The Baywatch beauty, who is expecting the couple’s first child this summer, said, “I feel sexier now that I’m pregnant. This is what the body is meant to be.”
