Guess who’s coming to dinner? En route to Florida, Katharine Hepburn, 83, took an unexpected detour in Petersburg, Va., when her chauffeur, Howard Frederick (right), ran into a Mercedes-Benz driven by Roston Heard (left). According to a policeman who showed up, Beard was so elated to meet Hepburn that the fender bender was resolved without charges being filed.

Rocker Axl Rose and his steady, model Stephanie Seymour, played a double-denim date at the L.A. Airport. Seymour, who regularly poses in skimpy lingerie for the Victoria’s Secret catalog, wears even less in the February issue of Playboy.

Pia Zadora brought her Z’Adorables—Kady, 8 (left), and kristoler, 6—to a benefit thrown by L.A. Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda in Beverly Hills. Lasorda was raising money to build a recreational center named for his son, Tommy Lasorda Jr., who died of AIDS in 1991.

Lily Tomlin (above right) hung out with female impersonator Lypsinka (real name, John Epperson) after both appeared onstage at a starry tribute to the late entertainer Peter Allen in Los Angeles. Harry Connick Jr. (right, with fiancée Jill Goodacre), performed at the benefit, as did Bette Midler, Melissa Manchester and Ann-Margret. The event raised $320,000 for the L.A. Shanti Foundation, which helps AIDS patients.
