THE BOLDEST, BLOODIEST SHOW ON TV RETURNS TO HBO ON APRIL 6 FOR A FOURTH SEASON OF ROYAL SCHEMING AND REVENGE. EVIL KING JOFFREY IS GETTING HITCHED, THE STARK KIDS ARE OLDER AND WISER, AND THE ONLY THING HOTTER THAN THE NEW CAST MEMBERS ARE DAENERYS’S FIRE-SPEWING DRAGONS
After last season’s gruesome “Red Wedding” episode sent millions of fans into shock – let’s just say “red” didn’t refer to a manicure shade – it’s okay to be a little apprehensive about the social event of this season. Depraved young King Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson), the show’s most-loathed character, grins and grimaces his way down the aisle with cunning Lady Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer). Considering the last nuptials, “I think I’d just avoid weddings in Westeros,” jokes author and creator George R.R. Martin.
Time flies, but not as fast as teenage dragons. Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) cute and scaly kids have matured ferociously. The orphaned Stark siblings, played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright, 14, Maisie Williams, 16, and Sophie Turner, 18, have grown too as they fight to survive. These days Arya (Williams) is one armed- and-surly kid not to tick off.

THE HOT NEW GUYS
New season, new smoldering swordsmen. Chilean actor Pedro Pascal joins as Oberyn Martell, a rebel prince out for revenge. “He lives dangerously … and he’s good in the sack,” says Pascal. And Michiel Huisman (last seen on Nashville) plays Daario, Daenerys’s new warrior. Says the Dutch native: “I get to do crazy stunts and fight. It’s like every boy’s dream!”
THE QUEEN SOUNDS OFF
LENA HEADEY AS QUEEN CERSEI LANNISTER
• Her friendship with costar Peter Dinklage: We only fight over hummus. We’ve lived together during filming. We’re each other’s replacement families. It’s really like college. Peter and I are the oldest ones. We’ll have a nice glass of wine and our hummus.
• The biggest prankster: Conleth Hill (Lord Varys). If he doesn’t crack you up in the middle of a take, he’s not happy with his day.
• The biggest diva: Jack Gleeson (Joffrey). No, I love that brave man. No one—you’d get punched.
• The sexiest man on-set: Dinklage can take that one.
