KARDASHIANS IN THE HOLY LAND! NORTH’S JERUSALEM BAPTISM

ALL THE NEWS & BUZZ FROM HOLLYWOOD

EXCLUSIVE People PHOTOS

AT JUST 22 MONTHS old, North West has already been to a fortress in Florence, the halls of Versailles and the front row at New York Fashion Week. So naturally, her baptism involved serious frequent-flier miles. On April 14 the jet-setting daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian received one of Christianity’s holiest sacraments in a 12th-century Armenian Apostolic Church in Jerusalem, napping peacefully while outside, crowds strained to get a peek. “It was such a beautiful experience for my family to have North baptized in Jerusalem,” Kim, 34, tells PEOPLE. “Kanye and I are so thankful.” It was all part of a family trip to the Middle East, including a visit to the Kardashian homeland of Armenia. On the way home the clan stopped by the Holy Land, cameras in tow. North’s aunt Khloé was on hand to share the milestone. “They have a very special bond,” says a family source. The family also had time for sightseeing in the Old City, visiting the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the site where Jesus is believed to have been crucified and buried. And North left with a very special keepsake: a cross from the St. James Cathedral, where the ceremony took place. “There was such an incredible energy there,” says the source. “It was an amazing experience.”

MILEY CYRUS & PATRICK SCHWARZENEGGER

INSIDE THEIR SPLIT

After five months together, Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger have put an end to their romance. “It’s not a break, it’s done,” says a source close to the couple. “He’s in college, and she’s focused on her music and career.” First spotted together late last year, the “Wrecking Ball” singer, 22, and her USC student beau, 21, quickly became inseparable, spending time with each other’s families and even working through a rough patch in March after Schwarzenegger was photographed seemingly getting close to a female pal while on spring break in Mexico. Despite the relationship’s end, Cyrus was in good spirits April 18 at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame event in Cleveland, while Schwarzenegger partied with pals at Coachella. Adds the source: “They’re just in two different places in their lives.”

TERRA JOLE & JOE GNOFFO

OUR MIRACLE BABY

With four dogs, four cats and now a baby girl at home, life has never been so chaotic for reality stars Terra Jolé and Joe Gnoffo. “Everybody told us, ‘Say goodbye to sleep,’ ” says Gnoffo, 39, who stars with his fiancée, Jolé, 34, in Lifetime’s Little Women: Terra’s Little Family. But finally bringing home Penelope Charlevoix, born March 16, after spending three stressful days with their infant in intensive care, the blissed-out new mom and dad don’t mind the late nights. Adapting to life with their baby as little people hasn’t been easy—even something as simple as setting up a stroller is “a team situation,” says Jolé. “It’s like, ‘I’ll pass her to you, and you put her in…. Right, left, okay!’ ” Now weeks in, they’re creating all kinds of parenting hacks, such as making a changing table out of a TV stand. With Penelope having the same form of dwarfism as her mom, “I want her to feel like it’s okay to be different,” says Jolé. Adds Gnoffo: “We’ll make her confident. She’s our girl!”

SELENA GOMEZ

LOVES HER CURVES

SORRY, BODY SHAMERS!

Selena Gomez has no time for you. After photos of her wearing an itty-bitty pink bikini drew negative comments online, the star shut down the haters a day later on Instagram. “I love being happy with me yall #theresmoretolove,” she captioned the April 16 snap (inset) of her relaxing in Mexico clad in a black one-piece. “She’s happy with herself,” says a Gomez source. “She had a great time with her girlfriends.” The getaway was both work and play for the actress, 22, who just finished shooting In Dubious Battle with James Franco and is recording an album. “She’s really excited about her new music,” says the source. “Everything is really good right now.”

BEN & JESSA SEEWALD

BABY ON THE WAY

5 MONTHS AFTER TYING THE KNOT, ANOTHER DUGGAR DAUGHTER IS EXPECTING

Jessa (Duggar) Seewald is already thinking ahead to her first wedding anniversary, because with any luck that may just be the day she welcomes her first child. “We’re expecting!” Jessa, 22, says, giggling as she shares the exclusive-if not surprising-news with PEOPLE just five months after tying the knot with husband Ben Seewald, 19, Nov. 1. “I’m hoping I’m having triplets because I’ve been eating so much!” Adds Ben: “We are really looking forward to being parents and are so excited. We are getting ready, trying to prepare for the baby.”

Getting an early start on what they hope will be a big clan has always been a goal for the newlyweds. As one of the stars of TLC’s hit show 19 Kids and Counting, Jessa-the fifth of 19 children born to Michelle, 48, and Jim Bob Duggar, 49-agrees with Ben, the oldest of seven, who works for Jim Bob’s real estate company (and may become a pastor): When it comes to kids, the more the merrier. (For more on the Duggar family, see page 175.) Even before the Seewalds found out they were expecting, they were already looking into adoption, and that hasn’t changed. “Finding out we’re having a baby hasn’t changed our hearts on adoption,” says Jessa. The couple will continue that process as they go through a two-year waiting period for married couples required by the agency they’ve consulted. “There’s a lot of paperwork,” says Jessa. “We could get a start on that.”

Meanwhile, Jessa, now heading into her second trimester and due on the same date the pair married, says the morning sickness that she has been battling is finally waning. “It was different every day,” she says. “I thought I’d crave pickles and lemons because my mother did, but I couldn’t stand them. And one day I suddenly couldn’t do dairy. I would sit in bed and eat crackers, hoping the nausea would pass.” Ben, for his part, kept a close watch, supporting his wife. “He’s so sweet,” Jessa says, “waiting on me hand and foot.”

And though she says she’ll be taking advice from her older sister Jill Dillard, 23, who just welcomed son Israel on April 6, Jessa admits she may choose not to think too much about her sibling’s harrowing 70-hour labor. “Every birth story is unique,” she says. “We think we want to go with a midwife and plan for a home birth, but I want to just be prepared that not everything may go as planned and try not to get too worried about it!”

3 QUESTIONS WITH CARLY RAE JEPSEN

THE SINGER WILL PERFORM AT CITY YEAR L.A.’S SPRING BREAK ON APRIL 25.

Tom Hanks lip-syncs your song in your “I Really Like You” video. Were you intimidated?

Tom was learning the lyrics, and there was one line he couldn’t get. I timidly raised my hand and said, “I know the words.” And for one brief, beautiful moment I found myself directing Tom Hanks.

You look spookily like a young Carly Simon! Do you get that a lot?

I do, which I take as a big compliment. I’ve spoken with her a few times over the phone, and we might have a little surprise cooked up for later this year.

How did you get involved with City Year?

Their focus is on education for underprivileged children, and I grew up in a house full of teachers. A strong education is something that all children deserve. cityyear.org

CATCHING UP WITH… Mark Ruffalo

In Avengers: Age of Ultron (out May 1), you’re back as the Hulk. Are your kids into superheroes?

They’re really proud. The other day one of my daughters tapped a girl with a little Hulk key fob on her backpack and said, “My dad’s the Hulk!” It’s hilarious.

The Hulk gets romantic with Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johansson). How was that?

She’s my buddy, and from the first day of the first movie we hit it off. When you have someone you trust, it can be magical. We actually have the same birthday.

You and Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark) have great chemistry too.

He’s like the great older brother who just razzes you-and I love every single second of it.

TINA KNOWLES LAWSON

MY DREAM WEDDING

Beyoncé Knowles AND SOLANGE’S STYLISH MOM SHARES INTIMATE DETAILS FROM HER ‘MAGICAL DAY’

EXCLUSIVE People PHOTOS

Every day for years Tina Knowles has listened to India. Arie’s “Ready for Love” and envisioned her dream man. So when she tied the knot on a sun-soaked yacht in Newport Beach, Calif., on April 12, it was the perfect tune to walk down the aisle to. At 61, Tina has found her happily ever after: actor Richard Lawson, 68. “It couldn’t have been more perfect,” says the bride, who has taken her husband’s last name.

Surrounded by loved ones—including her daughters Beyoncé and Solange and their husbands, Jay Z and Alan Ferguson; Kelly Rowland; Michelle Williams; Lawson’s children Bianca and Richard II; and Samuel L. Jackson—the couple threw a nautical bash filled with music and dancing. As for the all-white theme, it’s become a bit of a family tradition explains Tina, who wore a gown by Romona Keveza and planned the festivities herself. “Beyoncé started it, and then Kelly and Solange had all-white weddings,” she says. “It’s just elegant, and white represents the purity of love.”

The duo, who have been pals for more than 30 years and reconnected a year and a half ago, got some nudging from an unlikely source, her granddaughter Blue Ivy: “[In September] we went on a boat with Beyoncé and Jay Z, and when we came out one night dressed to go to dinner, Blue said, ‘Oh, ya’ll look beautiful. When are ya’ll getting married?’ Richard said, ‘Oh, Blue, soon. Do you approve?’ And she said yes. That’s the first time we talked seriously about getting married.” Now Tina hopes her romance inspires others. “There was a time when I doubted if I would find love again,” she says about her divorce from Mathew Knowles in 2011. “But I was determined to be happy, and God sent somebody into my life. You can find love at any age. You just have to go for it.”
