On October 23, beneath a full moon at India’s remote Aman-i-Khas resort, with traditional Indian music in the air and trees sparkling with white and gold lights, Brand, 35 (who proposed in the same country last January) and Perry, 26, said their much-anticipated “I dos.” With the media absent from the supersecret festivities, Perry herself tweeted the news: “We did!” A rep also confirmed, saying, “The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couple’s closest family and friends, was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of [Katy’s] family.” The elephants did their part as well: “Mala is a bit skittish and hates crowds,” a source told PEOPLE. “But she managed to behave.” TAYLOR SWIFT & JAKE GYLLENHAAL A NEW ROMANCE? Taylor Swift told PEOPLE this month that “being single is wonderful,” but has the country crooner changed her tune? On Oct. 23 Swift, 20, surprised guests at Saturday Night Live‘s taping in New York City by showing up with Jake Gyllenhaal, 29-although the pair were careful not to be seen too close. The twosome’s cozy weekend continued on Sunday, when they brunched with pals at Al Di La and took a stroll around Brooklyn. Reps for both won’t comment, but perhaps a Jake-inspired love song is in Taylor’s future! LINDSAY GETS MORE REHAB This holiday season will be a quiet one for Lindsay Lohan. After failing a recent drug test, the actress, 24, was court-ordered to remain at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., until at least Jan. 3. Although she was spared jail time, the famed clinic is no country club. “There’s no horseback riding or art therapy there,” says a former patient. “They don’t do New Age-y stuff at Betty Ford.” According to her probation report, Lohan “is very willing to participate in the program.” That is, if she can afford it. The actress claims that her clothing line “is falling apart” and she is struggling to pay the $53,000 it will cost for a 90-day stay. But it may be worth every penny. In the report, her psychiatrist said Lohan “needs to continue to work on her issues in order to save her life.” REAL OR RIDICULOUS? REAL!
