1. Because no task is too little … or too big. Life isn’t always easy when you stand 4 feet tall, but in TLC’s reality series Amy and Matt Roloff maneuver through their world without a chip on their shoulders. Amy holds her own as a soccer coach, working two jobs and rearing four children, three of whom are average height. Amy and Matt accept their size as a unique gift.

2. Because I love the dreamer in Matt Roloff. He always has a plan in the works, remodeling the house or adding to the fantasy world he’s created for his kids on their Oregon farm (think pirate ship and castle). Most endearing: the encouragement he gives his only dwarf son, Zach.

3. Because the show offers a glimpse into the Roloffs’ lives without exploiting them for the sake of good TV. (This is good TV.) Here’s a big cheer for TLC for deciding to bring it back for a second season.
