NBC (10 p.m. ET)

The son of a billionaire and his wife (Timothy Hutton and Dana Delany) travels through Manhattan with a chauffeur and a bodyguard, and yet one awful day he’s abducted. In come the FBI (Delroy Lindo) and an investigator (Jeremy Sisto). What Kidnapped does especially well is create a sense of the family’s wealth as a pampering booby trap that slams shut and leaves them isolated and panicked. The show falls in some zone between F. Scott Fitzgerald and JonBenét Ramsey. It’s a gripper.
