Playwright Alan (Absurd Person Singular) Ayckbourn wrote this comic trilogy about a lustful librarian named Norman who tries to practice with his two sisters-in-law what he learned in the sex manual. It was a smash on the London stage in 1973 and was later brought to L.A. and New York. The related but self-contained plays will be shown in three weekly installments with a cast including Tom Conti (Emma’s husband, Charles, in PBS’ Madame Bovary). The director is Herbert Wise of I, Claudius acclaim.
