It’s devoted to classical composers, but not pompously so: We learn that on March 13, 1872 Jules Massenet’s opera Marie-Magdeleine was rejected when a clogged chimney at an audition made Massenet cough as he sang the score, and that on April 9,1760 German composer Anton Felz died of blood poisoning from eating spiders, which he said tasted like strawberries.
