>Now starring in Killer Elite, Hollywood’s top tough guy, 44, relishes stunts—and life with his model girlfriend, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

WHAT DOES YOUR MOM THINK OF YOUR DANGEROUS STUNTS?

It’s no surprise to her. I was falling out of trees when I was very young anyway. I always landed on my head.

ARE STUNTS FUN FOR YOU?

Oh, I love it, and Killer Elite is the next level. Great man-to-man stuff, great car stuff. And jumps are always thrilling—someone counts down and you have to commit. You can never think about the consequences.

WERE THERE CONSEQUENCES?

I twisted my back quite severely in training, but you just get a chiropractor to come in. In a few days you’re on your feet.

OFFSCREEN, ARE YOU AN ADRENALINE JUNKIE?

I’ve always enjoyed scuba diving and snowboarding. I hit the racetrack from time to time. But I like simple things like going to the movies too. I’m not hanging out of buildings 365 days a year.

ROSIE SAID YOU GAVE HER PROTECTIVE PADS WHEN SHE HAD TO DO STUNTS IN TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON.

I did! [Have to] protect that lovely lady.

YOU DON’T DO THOSE THINGS AT HOME TOGETHER, DO YOU?

We keep it to a minimum!
