100 YEARS OF THE HOTEL DU CAP-EDEN-ROC

The 144-year-old hotel added a seawater pool (here in 1969) and became a hot spot, especially during the Cannes Film Festival.

A-listers from Heidi Klum to F. Scott Fitzgerald (who wrote of the hotel in Tender Is the Night) have long flocked to the Côte d’Azur.

Marlene Dietrich (in 1938) had a fling with Joseph P. Kennedy at the hotel.

The Duke and Duchess of Windsor (in ’48) decamped for Cap d’Antibes after he abdicated the throne.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton feted Terminator 2 with glorious views (in 1991).
