The refrain goes “Walk on,” and firemen, police officers, high school kids and other genuine citizens of Williamsburg, Va.—home of Bruce Hornsby’s brother John—do just that in this warm, congenial tape. And yes, that guy sitting in on clarinet is Bruce’s dad, Bob.

MOST OF ALL Director David Fincher’s black-and-white photography, stark lighting and evocative silhouettes turn what is basically a routine ballad sung by Jody Watley into a moody bit of video noir.
