Just when you thought Orca or Airport ’77 had the title wrapped up, along comes this powerful late-season contender for Worst Movie of the Year. Based on Paul Erdman’s best-selling 1974 novel about the world silver market, the film wanders the globe in search of a laugh and comes up empty. Even Tom Smothers is unfunny. Cybill Shepherd somehow surpasses At Long Last Love to reach a new comedic low. Michael Caine and Louis Jourdan simply look embarrassed. So will you if you sit through this disaster. (PG)
