As seen on MTV, this quintet lived in a transparent bubble to record their second album. The gimmicky experiment produced only mediocre results, though. Their brand of emo-infused pop-rock is pretty generic.

Babyface puts his silky touch on ’70s classics such as “Wonderful Tonight,” “Fire and Rain” and “Time in a Bottle.” Although there’s hardly anything revelatory, this is easy listening at its easiest.

King, a 22-year-old product of Manhattan’s Lower East Side, makes an eclectic, nuanced neo-soul debut that at times evokes Alicia Keys (first single “Walk in My Shoes”) and India. Arie (“Business Man”).
