The poor man’s Fleetwood Mac hasn’t issued a studio LP since Bébé Le Strange in early 1980, but the group’s, uh, core—Ann and Nancy Wilson—along with drummer Mike Derosier and bassist Steve Fossen remained the same, though Derosier and Fossen left after the album was made. The sound hasn’t changed much in any case. It ranges from the hard rock of Fast Times to the effectively quiet ballad Angels, with Ann singing in front of quiet guitars and plucked piano strings. There is still a late Beatles tone to some of the material, but then, that’s hardly an insult.
