NBC (Mon., Nov. 29, 9 p.m. ET)

NBC is on a traditionalist bent this week. Staying Afloat reintroduces Larry Hagman in a sporadic series. In this comedy-adventure, the former Dallas star plays a down-on-his-luck Palm Beach blue blood recruited by the government to identify miscreants among the Concorde set.

Bonanza features the sons of the late Michael Landon (see story, page 57) and Dan Blocker. A battle for possession of the Ponderosa brings back the Cartwright heirs from as far away as Boston and Australia, though surviving Cartwright son Pernell Roberts couldn’t bring himself to mosey by. Don’t you bother to hitch up your horse, either, pardner. This is a pretty tired and threadbare roundup.

Finally, there’s the recently deceased Raymond Burr in his final Perry Mason film. For a murder on a TV soap set, the cast is sprinkled with such real daytime stars as Stuart Damon, Genie Francis and Linda Dano. (Burr must have really been feeling poorly during the shooting; he’s seated or leaning against something in every scene.) After Perry pulls out another last-minute victory, the defense rests.
